(bitches producing 10 or more cham- pions) Probably one of her most fa- mous homebred Papillons is the 1999 Westminster Best In Show winner, CH Loteki Supernatural Being. who took the world by storm by winning Best In Show at the Canadian Royal, the WorldDog show in Finland and finally, Westminster In 2017, she was honored by being named the AKC Toy Breeder of the Year. Lou Ann currently serves as the trea- surer of the Papillon Club of America (her second consecutive term, but third time in the position), she is the current judge’s education chair, in her second two year term, as well as serving on the committee working on creating an Illustrated Standard. She is active in two local Papillon clubs, being one of the founding members of the Papillon Club of Iowa. She maintains a full-time position in the education industry. It also states that the “tongue must not be visible when jaws are closed.” Papillon should be dainty, fine-boned and elegant in every aspect of their structure as well as demeanor. My personal preference is for chiseling under the eye and muzzle. It is my opinion that the chiseling gives the finemuzzle called for by the standard; it also gives elegance to the head. I have seen many dogs that look great across the ring, but when you get up close... well, you lose me due to the lack of chiseling. It’s like a sculpture that is just roughed in but not com- pleted. four grandchildren ranging in age from 19-4 years. She created, published and wrote for the Papillon Revue which she did for four years, a magazine devoted to Papillons. Papillons have been Lou Ann’s life- long passion and remain a huge part of her life.
